Personal shopping for the time poor.

We literary put the meaning of ‘Secret Santa’ into shopping for our clients.  Getting paid to shop with other peoples money – Is there any other better job?

Recently featured in the Sunday Mail (4-December page 28) we shared our story.

While many of our customers were wealthy and spent up to $1000 on a gift, others were cashed-strapped families seeking advice on how to stay within a budget.’

‘We sit down with our clients and we work within their budget’.  ’If customers are not that savvy but they have got an idea about what they want, we can sort it out for them’.

Personal shopping for a Personal Concierge is a dream job but with that comes a lot of planning, organising and going to some extreme measure to gain information we need to purchase items on behalf of the clients for their loved ones.  These extremes have lead us to be ‘secretly present’ within a restaurant to have a visual view of the clients partner we are purchasing for.

As shared with Sally Chester-Law on 4BC radio today, some may find this extreme to be a bit ‘creepy’ however have said it to be the best concept they have ever heard.

Christmas shopping for personal presents and intimate gifts are most commonly requested from Bachelor clients as they find this a great way to outsource the task so they are not left feeling uncomfortable in doing themselves.

Common words we hear are ‘I just don’t have enough time to do that’, ‘I am not organised enough’, or ‘I simply refuse to wait in line’.  This is where a personal shopper ‘secret santa’ is called on.

Now with only 21 days to go until Christmas don’t be wasting your time waiting in lines, fighting with traffic and getting all stressed.  Outsource to us and reap the reward of time.

Shared Little Secrets Behind The Man.

Why are most time saving services offered mainly to women?  Single, married and/or divorced men have similar needs also right?

Lets be honest here, some not all men have a secret that has not yet be revealed to their loved one.  The secret being, all the birthday and Valentine’s Day gifts that their loved one had received during their courtship were through outsourcing either to their mother or mother-in-law, friend or another member of the family because they hated shopping and most of the time, they had no clue what gifts to purchase.

At times I am sure some could confess to having meals delivered to their home, enlisting family members to do their weekly laundry and hiring others to clean the apartment because they were busy working and because many times they had no idea how to do these things.

As a result, My Go2 Girl offers bachelors a wide variety of bachelor services or most commonly referred to Personal Concierge Services.  Personal Concierge Brisbane services and errands including personal shopping, weekly laundry pick up or deliveries, grocery shopping, party planning, dinner reservations, personal chief services, reminder services, outsourcing to pet sitting, cleaners, light housekeeping even scheduling hair and spa appointments are being utilised by men weekly, fortnightly or on a day to day basis.  Assistance with paying bills, shipping items and supervising contractors at their home also has a big calling for.

My Go2 Girl running errands for busy people is at times referred to as ‘the little secret’ behind every caring man.

We act in a very giving and warm-hearted roll on behalf of the gentleman who doesn’t quite know how to go about things.  We are discreet and private, while maintaining a professional customer service that leaves the client looking the hero.

If you know someone that fits this picture, let him know there is assistance out there it is simply called My Go2 Girl.  They just need to make the call!

We welcome your enquiry and look forward to providing you with time.

Outsourcing to your Personal Concierge – Brisbane

Brisbane Personal Concierge industry is booming!  Being very well received, particularly over the past few months with huge media attention gaining us coverage in high profile papers and on television My Go2 Girl’s contribution has certainly experienced massive growth over the past months.

With more and more busy people accepting they can’t do it all themselves, outsourcing has become second nature for them.  Continuous education and marketing for Personal Concierge and Lifestyle Management services is still required, I feel, and as business owners in the industry, we are all contributing.

I’d like to see a change in the way people think about Concierge services as they are not as frivolous as some may think.  Providing answers before they need to ask does set their minds at ease, allowing question opportunities to then flow.  Studies have shown that outsourcing is the answer to gaining more quality time.

Continuing to educate potential clients and market our wonderful services, skills and profession, then the industry in Australia will continue booming.

My Go2 Girl specialises in running errands for busy people, serving bachelors, brides and families with a larger calling for small to medium business owners.  Our Happy Home Helper services are utilised by busy working professionals and include grocery shopping, organising, sorting, de-cluttering and small pickups and deliveries.  Telemarketing for Small Businesses along with staff incentive rewards has taken off with a bang while Wedding Day Running is one of our favourites.  With no common task, we love the jobs that others hate.

What I love most about being a Personal Concierge are the challenges that sometimes present.  Providing solutions for our clients also offers them peace of mind knowing ‘it will get done’.  Considering the variety of tasks plus the trust clients have with our services and the relationships that we have built, could never take us away from what we love doing the most – customer service.

The question busy people need to ask is ‘how much is my time worth‘?  It really is a simple answer and it depends on how much money people are willing to invest.  With outsourcing to your Personal Concierge nothing is impossible.

Be brave, take the step and outsource!  You will be the one rewarded!

How to get more than 24 hours out of your day.

Time is invaluable because you can get more than 24 hours out of a day when you know how.

Outsourcing is the key in saving time.  Allocating task to others you either don’t enjoy doing yourself, and simply no longer have the time to do.  As recently published in U on Sunday, IBIS/world predicts the household services sector to present the most promising business opportunities in the coming decades as we outsource more and more of the domestic drudgery in exchange for quality time with family, or in many cases more time in the office.

More and more are engaging the services of a Personal Concierge to manage their day-day errands like waiting at home for service repair people to arrive, collating the shoe box full of papers for the bookkeeper or accountant, paying their bills and de-cluttering the home or home office.  Having their very own ‘go2 girl’ on hand at anywhere from $55 and up per hour in pursuit of work-life balance to enjoy quality time.

With many investing in having their very own personal trainer – that was then.  Personal Concierge and Lifestyle Managers are the now!

Relocating can be this easy…….can’t it?

If all you had to worry about was unpacking your own toothbrush how good would that feel?

Any relocation is time consuming with lots to think about.  It doesn’t need to be a big job if you do a little planning in setting things up to ensure a smooth move while remaining free from stress and staying organised.  Keep it simple and use these simple tips:

  1. Pool and spa registration required by November 1.  To avoid a $2000.00 fine visithttp://www.dlgp.qld.gov.au/pool-safety/pool-safety-register.html
  2. Obtain 3 quotes from removal companies
  3. Check your removal company covers you for accidental breakage insurance
  4. Photograph and list your items for back up purposes eg insurance claims
  5. Hire boxes as there are many shapes and sizes available now
  6. Start packing your most least used room in the house first, then store as many packed boxes there, out of sight
  7. If it hasn’t't been used for the past 12 months, throw it, donate it, sell it.  DO NOT pack it only to unpack it and have it sit there for another 12 months collecting dust
  8. Wipe and dust off every item BEFORE you wrap and pack then you have a lovely clean item to unpack and display when needed
  9. Be sure to label EVERY box (kitchen, linen, bedroom 1, 2 etc)  makes it so easy for the removal company and you to identify each box’s contents.
  10. Have some healthy meals organised.  Your body and brain will thank you for it!
  11. Arrange a cleaner.  The two hours they could put in will save you the time and worry on that ‘vacate inspection’.
  12. If you have the time, leave a ‘hand over note’ for the new tenants with listings of wheelie bin day, security codes if you have them, contact details of the lawn and pool maintenance service people, and any local information in your area that you could share – they would find helpful
  13. If it is all still to overwhelming eliminate the stress, gain more time and have My Go2 Girl manage and work with you for all your relocation needs.

We love the jobs you hate!

New Mums gaining time – Part 2

In follow up from our recent blog New Mums are gaining time and feature on Channel 10 News last month, there has been an overwhelming response with enquiries for our Baby Concierg services.  While still in its infancy and raising awareness about baby concierge services we decided to take it one step further.

Last weekend we attended the Baby and Toddler Show at South Bank Brisbane which gave us and new mums opportunity to meet, chat and answer their questions.  We also provided tips, ideas and suggestions in ways they can be utilising our concierge services.  New mums were not the only ones learning – we also took away something to think about.

Asking them what they wanted and what they would expect from a baby concierge service provider was exciting, encouraging and and an eye-opener.  The ways in which they shared in HOW they could utilise our services was wonderful feedback and gave us focus on meeting their requirements and expectations.

Their feedback told us there was a large calling for our services with mums before, during and after their pregnancy.  They loved the concept that a service could provide them with all the odd jobs they needed done which then in return gives time to relax, be calm and focus on exciting things to come.  They said that gifts they were looking forward in receiving from baby shower parties could now be GIFT OF TIME BABY CONCIERGE VOUCHERS where they get to choose what was really needed and would be of great benefit for them.

These new mums jumped at the opportunity to grab our post card discount offer which they could pass onto to their baby shower hosts and request it be utilised .

Having completed a Physiotherapy Assistant course with APA (Australian Physiotherapy Association) in the year 2000 provided basic skills and knowledge in mobility assistance along with awareness of the hardships that comes with difficult pregnancies and the things that pregnant women can no longer do.

One client says ‘knowing that My Go2 Girl was there to help me with all my Dr appointments, physiotherapy appointments, grocery shopping, escorting my six year old to school, submitting medicare claim forms and gift purchasing to thank my maternity team was a big advantage as my husband was away on business which left me all alone.  I had a very difficult pregnancy!  Suffering with pubic synthasis it left me pretty much home bound fomonths.  Not allowed to drive I had to find someone that could help.’ Renee‘ - Sunshine Coast

Providing opportunity and choices for new mums recent mums, or those mums who just want the Baby Concierge service is great and we look forward to sharing the experience with you.
